چکیده
Abstract Background Around 5–20% of patients who undergo surgery for advanced gastric cancer have peritoneal carcinomatosis and 10–54% recurrence after surgery, which is associated with poor prognosis. The role hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in (AGC) not clearly defined. We performed a meta-analysis to assess the safety survival benefit HIPEC AGC. Methods conducted meta-analysis, accordance PRISMA guidelines, clinical trials high-quality non-randomized studies evaluating AGC over last 10 years. were searched PubMed, EMBASE, MEDLINE Cochrane databases between January 2011 December 202. PROSPERO registration number CRD42022310556. Clinical data including overall (OS), recurrence-free survival, rate, complications analyzed extraction using RevMan5.4.The primary endpoint was survival. secondary end points 5 year disease-free post operative complications: myelosuppression, liver dysfunction, intestinal obstruction, leak, mortality. impact on also evaluated. Results Six randomized controlled nonrandomized met inclusion criteria included comprising total 1700 patients. Conclusions has evolved past decade. These results suggest that may improve rates reduce AGC, without significant increase complications. any 5-year prognosis dependent patient selection. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer remains the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women in France. It is all too often diagnosed at an advanced stage with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC), but remains confined to the peritoneal cavity throughout much of its natural history. Because of cellular selection pressure over time, most tumor recurrences eventually develop resistance to systemic platinum. Options for sa...
متن کاملEffect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion chemotherapy on advanced gastric cancer
Neoadjuvant and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapies have been shown to be effective in the treatment of resectable advanced gastric cancer. The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical efficiency and security of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in combination with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for the treatment of postoperative advanced gastric cancer. A total of 192...

Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers throughout the world. Overall, the prognosis of gastric cancer is very poor, and surgery is the main treatment modality for this deadly disease. Standard gastrectomy with D2 dissection is the principal surgical procedure performed with curative intent. However, survival rates after curative surgery for gastric cancer are disappointing. Many patie...

متن کاملSafety and preliminary results of perioperative chemotherapy and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for high-risk gastric cancer patients
BACKGROUND Gastric cancer relapse occurs in about 30% of the patients treated with gastrectomy and D2-lymphadenectomy, mainly as distant or peritoneal metastases. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) has been associated with an improvement in survival and lower peritoneal recurrence, albeit with increased morbidity. The aim of this study is to report the preliminary results of the ...
